The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act
for Boards of Education and Municipalities
Brooks Enviro consultants specialize in assisting schools with AHERA requirements for asbestos inspections and management plans.

In compliance with Connecticut's Department of Public Health, we provide a "Designated Person" to ensure that the requirements to these regulations are properly implemented.

In this role, our consultant usually works with the Director of Facilities to assure compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Only approved asbestos removal contractors must be used for removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials.

The consultant serving as "Designated Person" may serve, also, to prepare the "Pesticide/Herbicide Notification" letter to parents. He may, also, test for PCB's, leaking underground tanks, and carbon monoxide in vehicles.
